Introduction to School
The school of Computer and Information Technology (CIT) was established in 2000 on the basis of the Department of Electronic Engineering (which was later named the Department of Computer Science and Technology) established in 1977 and the Institute of Information Science established in 1978. It has been the cradle to educate high-ranked professionals and specialists in the field of computer science and information technology. The disciplines of Computer Science and Information System Science have been ranked
top 400 in QS World University Rankings by Subject for several consecutive years. The discipline of Computer Science ranked
top 100 in US News 2016 world best subjects and ESI top 1% in Computer Science, the discipline of Signal and Information Processing
ranked 8 in the world round national discipline evaluation.
